Terms of Service

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms set forth the conditions of use for "Sotomuke," a website localization service (the "Service") provided by Sotomuke (Sole Proprietorship) ("we," "us," or "our"). Users shall use the Service upon agreeing to these Terms.

Article 2 (Service Description)

This service fetches and translates a website specified by the user (up to 100 pages) and serves it on a preview hostname or a subdomain of the user's own domain. Translations are produced by machine translation, and we do not guarantee their accuracy. For published delivery destinations, we register the site with Google Search Console and submit sitemaps on the user's behalf, and to do so we insert an ownership verification meta tag into the served pages.

Article 3 (User Responsibilities)

• The User warrants that they have legitimate authority over any website they request to be translated and delivered.
• Users may not register third-party websites with the Service without authorization.
• The User is responsible for configuring the DNS settings required for publication on their own domain.
• The User is responsible for reviewing the content of translation results and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Article 4 (Fees and Payment)

Fees for paid plans are the amounts displayed on this Site and are charged automatically each month through Stripe's payment system. There is no minimum contract period, and you may cancel at any time. No prorated refunds are issued upon cancellation.

Article 5 (Prohibited Activities)

• Acts that violate laws and regulations or public order and morals
• Distribution of content that infringes the rights of third parties
• Acts that place an excessive load on the Service's servers or network
• Unauthorized use or reverse engineering of the Service

Article 6 (Preview Retention Period)

Free previews are stored for 30 days from the last update if linked to an account, or for 7 days if not linked to an account, after which they may be deleted. Sites on paid plans are stored for the duration of the contract.

Article 7 (Changes to and Suspension of the Service)

The Company may change the content of the Service or suspend its provision with prior notice to Users. In cases of emergency, notice may be given after the fact.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the User through use of the Service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Company. Even where the Company is liable, the amount of compensation shall be limited to the total fees paid by the User to the Company during the most recent 12 months.

Article 9 (Amendments to the Terms)

The Company may amend these Terms as necessary, and the amended Terms shall take effect from the time they are posted on this Site.

Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan, and the district court having jurisdiction over the Company's location shall be the exclusive agreed court of first instance for any disputes relating to the Service.
