After adding the record, click "Check settings" in the dashboard to view DNS propagation and certificate issuance status. The site usually goes live within a few minutes, and at most within about an hour.
Steps
- Log in to the Muumuu Domain control panel and open "Domain operations" → "Muumuu DNS".
- Click "Change" for the domain in question and proceed to the "Custom settings" setup screen.
- In the "Setting 2" fields, enter
globalfor the subdomain,CNAMEfor the type, andpublish.sotomuke.comfor the content. - Click "Update setup information" to save.
- Click "Check settings" on the Sotomuke dashboard.
Even if you also use Lolipop or Color Me Shop, this is the only record you need to add. Leave your existing settings as they are.
Common pitfalls
- Entering the full "global.example.co.jp" as the name. Most control panels fill in the domain part automatically, so
globalalone is sufficient. If the saved record looks like "global.example.co.jp.example.co.jp", this is the cause. - Confusing it with an A record. The type must always be CNAME. Do not enter an IP address.
- Touching existing records. You only need to add a record; there is no need to change or delete existing ones. Your Japanese site will not be affected.
- Changes take time to take effect. Usually it takes a few minutes, but with a long TTL or depending on the registrar, it can take up to about an hour. You can check the current status with the "Check settings" button.
