React/Vue-based sites such as Next.js, Nuxt, and Payload CMS are also supported. These sites redraw the page in the original language after loading, but Sotomuke reapplies the translation on the spot, so visitors continue to see the translated page. Search engines receive the translated HTML served from the server as is.
Sotomuke fetches your published HTML and translates it. No tags or plugins are required, and it works with any CMS or hosting service.
Platform-Specific Notes
| WordPress | Works as is. There is no need to use it alongside multilingual plugins such as WPML or Polylang. Caching plugins have no effect on it either. |
|---|---|
| STUDIO / Wix / Jimdo / ペライチ | Works as is. Published pages are retrieved. Unpublished and password-protected pages are not supported. |
| Shopify / BASE / カラーミーショップ / makeshop | Product pages, collection pages, and static pages can be translated. Cart, checkout, and account pages are not supported because their content varies by user; visitors are directed to the original site for these. |
| Webflow / Static HTML / Custom CMS | Works as is. |
What Is Not Supported
- Pages that require login, and members-only pages
- Pages whose content varies by user, such as cart, checkout, and post-submission screens for booking forms
- Content rendered only by JavaScript (text not included in the HTML)
- Text within images (alt text is translated)
- Content within PDFs and videos
Forms and booking widgets work on translated pages as well, and submissions still go to the original site. Google Analytics, GTM, and ad tags also continue to work as is.
